Oh Brother!

What more can you say about Ron Howard. From my prospective of
being his younger sibling... plenty!

It wouldn't be a lie to say he's a hard worker and inspired filmmaker.
People remark that without being a showboat about it, he1s a natural born
leader. Makes since to me, because he had plenty of practice bossing me
around when we were little kids. Director my ass! He's the World's
Friendliest Tyrant. The George Steinbrenner of the Internet!

Sure, he's had a string of hit films as long as your arm and been able
to capture the essense of various genres across the board. Comedies like
Night Shift and Parenthood. The Fantasy Worlds of Willow, Splash and Dr.
Seuss' The Grinch. Don't forget Far And Away and Backdraft. And the
dramatic tone of Ransom, Apollo 13 and his latest, A Beautiful Mind, standout.

Some people call that impressive. I call it flawed. Incomplete. Where's the musical? The sweeping production numbers dripping with song
and dance?

Until my brother scores a big fat hit with a musical, I'm going to
reserve judgement.
